Its called a tuning …
Its called a tuning “hammer” because in bygone decades it was used to “hammer” loose pins into the pinblock so they would hold- aural tuning is best as each piano is slightly different- touching up unisons can be done, but I always set the temperament octave first- then octaves pure up and down, then finally pure unisons for a fresh sparkeling tuning- I understand this is out of your time limit- thank you for sharing.

Mr. Flowers, Just tuning in, going to visit a friend in Seattle…who just took up the harp…I’m sure I will enjoy a sample of her skills…what if she can’t play? what if she can? I’m in a quandry. Hope you can help…I’m an athlete not a musician…HELP

Mr. Flowers, Just tuning in here…I omitted what I’m in a quandry about, if she can’t play…should I just encourage her and be happy for her in her new pursuit? or encourage her to take up another instrument? If she is good…what is a appropriate compliment for a harpist. Thanks for your comments
